Main & Side Dishes - Quick
My Aunt Frances posted this recipe on Facebook and it looked delicious. We tried it and it was delicious - definitely worth including in this recipe collection. This dish goes great with a vegetable side dish and crescent rolls.
3-4 pound beef chuck roast
1 package Original Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix (dry)
1 package Au Jus Gravy mix (dry)
1 stick unsalted butter
5-6 pepperoncini (Greek Salad) peppers
Put chuck roast in crock pot or slow cooker, sprinkle with dry Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix, add packet of dry Au Jus Gravy mix, a stick of unsalted butter, and 5-6 pepperoncini peppers. DO NOT ADD WATER. Cook on low for 8 hours.
I have tried some variations which have turned out great like adding a few small red potatoes and onion sections or just adding a packet of dry onion soup mix to the other dry mixes.
