Main & Side Dishes - Thanksgiving Dinner

Green Bean Casserole

This is a popular and classic side-dish for most on Thanksgiving and was almost always made for our Thanksgiving dinner as well.


1 (28 ounce) can or 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans Allens® green beans

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

3/4 cup milk

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 (2.8 ounce) can French fried onion rings



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients, reserving half the onion rings. Pour into 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Top with reserved onion rings and bake 5 minutes longer or until just browned. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
