Memories of Mom's delicious cooking

This section of my web site is devoted to the memory of my Mom, Margaret Poole Perry. We all have great memories of my Mom including her wit, wisdom, patience, kindness, and love. One of the ways in which that love was expressed was in the food she prepared for family and friends. We pay homage to the love she gave to us by recalling some of our favorite foods from her kitchen. Mom would collect recipes from wherever she could - from family, friends, newspapers, magazines, and food containers. Some turned out well and some didn't but a few became life-long favorites with one or more of us. We remember my Mom by reading these recipes and, by preparing them again, we bring her memory vividly to life through the tastes and smells that we remember so well. It should be no surprise that our sweetest memories were her desserts, so they are at the top of the list.
