Living Room Cookies (Ladies Fingers)

These are cookies that Mom would make occasionally, but especially around Christmas, for as far back as I can remember. These are basically shortbread cookies with pecans in them - delicious.

Ingredients

1 cup butter

4 tablespoons confectioners sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon ice water

2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

Cream butter and sugar together, and then work in remaining ingredients. The dough will be dry, crumbly, and difficult to shape. Form into fingers by squashing small handfuls of dough in your hands and place on a cookie sheet that is lightly greased or has non-stick coating.

Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. When done, roll in confectioners sugar.
