George Neville was invested as a Knight on 4 May 1471 at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England, by King Edward IV. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Abergavenny [E., 1450] on 18 October 1476. On 12 January 1476/77 he had livery of the lands of his parents, but he never had seizin of Abergavenny.
