John Bradley (R.W.S.) b. abt. 1759 was married to Ruthe (probably McDonald). This is proven by the Mars Hill Baptist Church Minutes located in (then Clarke Co.) now in Oconee County GA. It shows John Bradley and wife Ruthe and son Johnson Bradley were Dismissed by Letter on March 1, 1817. Ruthe Bradley was Received by experience on July 5, 1800. Abner Bradley, and later his wife, attended this church as well.
John and Ruthe Bradley had at least 5 sons and several daughters. Abner Bradley abt. 1788 married Eleanor "Nelly" Daniel; Josiah Bradley abt. 1790 married Polly Brooks; Thomas Bradley 1792 married Susannah Oliver; John Bradley abt. 1793 married Elizabeth "Polly" Harper; Mary C. Bradley abt. 1794 married William Pentecost;
Johnson Bradley abt. 1799 not sure if married; Abigail Bradley abt. 1807 married Jacob Widener.
According to the War of 1812 Pensioners Index, Thomas and John fought in the same company. Josiah was also listed as as a veteran of the War of 1812. Abner is listed as a Captain in the GA Militia in Clarke County in 1817.
There are more female children but I don't know their names. There is also a James O. Bradley from Madison County the right age (b. abt. 1797) but I have no proof he is from this family.
