John “Jack” Pound - Revolutionary War Veteran. Original owner of Powder Horn used in the War. Son of Reuben Pound and Frances Merriman, born in Virginia. Died September 22, 1791 in Orange County, North Carolina, a bachelor. Left the powder horn to his brother Merriman Pound to be handed down to a son in each generation.
