From the statue of Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn

Robert the Bruce and his first wife Isobel de Mar, daughter of the Earl of Mar. Isobel,however died in 1297-1298 shortly after the birth of their daughter Marjorie. When Robert was crowned in 1306, he was married to Elizabeth de Burgh.

This is a rubbing taken from the brass plate that was placed over the tomb of King Robert the Bruce at Dunfermline Abbey. The Latin text around this screen states that King Robert was re-interred in Dunfermline Abbey in 1818 and the brass plate was placed on top of his tomb in 1889, 560 years after his death.
