Like the epitaph for her grandmother, Clara Little Martin, Margaret Poole Perry “was a fond mother and friend to all”. Her main purpose in life seemed to be to care for children, which she did from the time she was eight years old until she was physically unable to do so almost seventy years later. She will be greatly missed by her children, all the other children she cared for, and all the many people who were her friends.
