SC 1807, almost certainly d/o John Pettit (John Pettit deeded Cherokee Co, GA, landlot #608, to Isaiah Beshears, in exchange for care for himself and wife in their final years - 18 March 1843, Spartanburg Co, SC, Deed Book Y, p. 186, witnessed by Meredith, Major D., and Elizabeth Brashears).
