Stephen Bedon Daniell was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He was an officer in the first North Carolina Regiment Continental Battalion when it was established September 1775. He was also a member of the of the Committee of Safety in the District from Brunswick County, North Carolina on June 30, 1775 and was promoted April 10, 1776; he was appointed Ensign June 4, 1776 and promoted again January 1,1777. On August 29, 1777 he was transferred to one of the four Regiments of South Carolina as a Lieutenant.
