Funeral services held for Mrs. W.L. Poole
Funeral services for Mrs. W.L. Poole, age 77, who died at her home at 8 o'clock last night at Ohatchee, following an illness of a week, were conducted from the Ohatchee Baptist Church this afternoon. The Rev. W.J. Ingram officiated and the interment was in the Union Cemetery at Wellington, with Usrey directing.
Pallbearers were Douglas Poole, L.V. Poole, Ralph Poole, J.C. Poole, Grady Poole, and Gartrelle Simpson. Mrs. Poole was born and reared in Alpharetta, Georgia, and had been a resident of Calhoun County for 45 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ohatchee for the last 40 years. She is survived by four sons, G.V. Poole of Columbiana, J.C., A.L and W.O of Ohatchee; two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Simpson and Mrs. T.H. Connor, both of Ohatchee; a brother A.L Beshears of Corinth, Mississippi, 21 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
